Since its founding in 1980, Henriksen/Butler (H/B) has become one of the fastest growing dealerships in the industry. We are in the business of solving problems. As such, we are committed to meeting the needs of our customers by providing quality and excellence in our products and in our service. This continued commitment to meeting client needs – evident throughout our history – is now and will continue to be the foundation of our success.
Henriksen/Butler is born from the partnership of Ron Henriksen
and Steve Butler. With combined experience from companies like The Richins Organization and Clark Leaming Designs for Business, these able entrepreneurs join their resources and talents to create what will become the Intermountain West’s premier contract
furniture business.
Henriksen/Butler acquires Space Designs – which includes the exclusive rights to represent Herman Miller for Healthcare products.
Henriksen/Butler becomes Utah’s sole distributor of Herman Miller office furnishings.
Ron and Steve are joined by David Colling. As an equity partner with primary responsibility for sales and marketing, Dave is brought on board to help drive company growth and facilitate a long-term succession plan.

The new century brings exciting changes to the company. A major remodel of the Salt Lake City showroom is completed. Dynamic office and showroom spaces energize H/B staff and fuel sales growth.

Henriksen/Butler also formalizes relationships with Interface (floor coverings) and Spacesaver (high-density storage). This diversification of product offerings highlights our commitment to future growth and to providing a broad range of products and services to our customers.

Henriksen/Butler opens H/B Services, our own furniture installation company, in a 10,000 square foot office and warehouse. H/B Services enhances our ability to manage both initial installation and long-term relationships with clients.

Ron and Steve, original H/B founders, move to more of an advisory role. An Executive Committee is established to provide company direction and focus. Composed of highly talented design, sales and operations specialists, the Executive Committee provides strategic direction and guidance to the company.

A second H/B showroom opens in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 3,400 square foot space is located in the old Holsum Bread Building and is the oldest renovation ever done in Las Vegas.

David Colling becomes President of Henriksen/Butler.
A third H/B show room opens in St. George, Utah. Mark Hendrickson, a longtime St. George native, is named Principal and General Manager of the new 1,500 square foot showroom.
In response to unprecedented growth, H/B doubles its presence in Las Vegas with a new 1,800 square foot showroom.
